RepWaveLast updated: 17 June 2026
This is a plain-language summary of how RepWave ("we", "us") handles data. We keep it short and honest. If anything is unclear, email us — see Contact below.
Account details: when you sign in with Google we receive your name and email address. Subjects you add: the names, professions, and notes you enter. Public data about those subjects: publicly available news, videos, and community posts collected through official sources and APIs.
If you choose to connect your own Instagram Business or Creator account, you grant RepWave access — through Instagram's official API — to read your posts and the comments on them, so we can analyse comment sentiment and show you per-post insights. We store a secure access token to do this. We never post, comment, or message on your behalf, and we never access your direct messages or private content beyond your own posts' comments. You can disconnect at any time from the app, which deletes the stored token and connection immediately.
Apart from accounts you explicitly connect (such as your own Instagram), we only use information that is already public. We do not access other people's private accounts, direct messages, or anything behind a login. We do not buy personal data.
To run the service: collecting public mentions, analysing sentiment and themes, and showing you reputation insights. Short snippets may be processed by third-party AI providers purely to generate that analysis. We do not sell your data or use it for advertising.
Only the service providers needed to operate RepWave — for example Google (sign-in), our hosting and database providers, and AI providers used for analysis. They process data on our behalf, not for their own purposes.
We use a single secure session cookie to keep you signed in. No third-party advertising or tracking cookies.
You can delete any subject, or your entire account, at any time from the app. When you do, the associated data — including any connected Instagram token, connection and stored comment analysis — is permanently removed. To revoke RepWave's access to your Instagram independently, you can also remove it from Instagram → Settings → Apps and websites. To request deletion of your data, email vikash@repwave.in and we will action it within 30 days.
Questions or data requests: vikash@repwave.in.
